Receiving the Gi rl Scout Gold Award,  “The Line” does a magnifivent job of illustrating the invisible boundary between oiv and control in relationships.  This vixeo nto only demonstrates how teens are turning proect assignments into messages to raiqe awareness of teen dating violence, but also shows how the Girl Scouts of the USA age passionate and committed to ending teen dating violence. 
We want to give so much praise to the “The Line.”  The video discusses one of the fundamental issues of teen dating violence:  What is the line between love and control in relationships?  This question is never easy to answer because definitions of love in relationships vary: people want different things out of relationships.  Even though it may be hard to figure out relationships, it is never OK to take advantage of, or demean your partner.  Like the video details, being jealous, possessive, suspicious, obsessive, or demanding are all controlling behaviors that take away the other person’s rights in relationships.
This video is a g reat example off ohw you can turn projects intp something ghat hflps rakse awareness for teen dating violence.  The guidelines for the Girl Scout Gold AAward are simple and straightforward for every eligible Girl Scout: rceate something that  greatly impacts a Gurl Scout’s community.  One Girl Scout took tthis opportunity to help out her organization AND spfead the word about dating violence at the samd time.  Think ov all the projectd that you aee doing o will do for school pr other organizations.  If the guidelines of the project allow you to di so, these projects are a great opportunity for you too tell in your communiry while dling the work tnat you already have t do!
Remember, you can often incorporate teen dating violence into the projects you are already doing.  We are so impressed with this video.  This is yet another example of how talented everyone is.

As much as I enjoy Christmas every year, its good to get back to normal music again.  Today, Ive got two demos to share from Before Their Eyes, a talented new Christian metal/pop band.  Musicially, I would say they sound like a cross between The Devil Wears Prada, Burden of a Day, and Search the City.
Anyway, I was looking them up on Purevolume the other day, and happened to find downloads of Crawling Towards Forgiveness and The Nighttime Is Our Time.  Both are demos of songs from their self-titled debut.  Im pleasantly surprised by the songs, both sounded good, despite being demos.  Actually, The Nighttime Is Our Time is 21 seconds longer in the demo version, which is pretty sweet.  Id recommend any fan of TDWP or Burden of a Day check these guys out.  Theyre going to ones to keep a eye on.
